Dubai: Ultra-luxury penthouse sold for record-breaking Dh420 million

As record-breaking deals in the prime category continue to occur, demand for Dubai’s ultra-luxury penthouses and residences continues to attract the ultra-rich. And, there are no signs of slowing down this trend. The most expensive penthouse in Marsa Al Arab was sold for a record-breaking Dh 420 million on Tuesday, according to luxury real estate firm Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International. Luxhabitat Sotheby’s International Realty sold the opulent property for Dh 17,000 per square foot. The buyer’s name and country of citizenship were not made public, though.

The previous most expensive penthouse was sold for Dh 410 million at the Bvlgari Lighthouse on Jumeirah Bay Island in February 2023. Turkey: Erdogan wins re-election as president

Turkey's president,  Recep Tayyip Erdoğan , won re-election Sunday in a tense run-off after he failed to secure more than 50 percent of votes required for an outright victory in the first round on May 14 in the strongest challenge to his 20-year rule. Pakistan's Supreme Court orders release of Imran Khan, declares arrest unlawful

Pakistan's Supreme Court on Thursday declared former prime minister Imran Khan's arrest "illegal" after hearing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) petition challenging the arrest of the party chief.  A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial, comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, was hearing the case. Terming his arrest ‘illegal’, the Supreme Court ordered to release Imran Khan immediately. The Supreme Court also observed that whatever the Islamabad High Court decides, Imran Khan will have to abide by. During the hearing, Imran’s lawyer argued that his arrest was made without an investigation officer and accused National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of committing contempt of court.
