U.S: Biden pick India-origin Ajay Banga cleared to get top World Bank job

The Biden administration’s choice to run the World Bank — former Mastercard CEO Ajay Banga — appears to have a lock on the job. The World Bank said Thursday that Banga was the only candidate nominated in a search that began more than a month ago. German National Tourist Board (GNTB) presented a campaign update and their vision of ‘Making Tourism More Sustainable’ on the opening day of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM 2023). GNTB is focusing on sustainable-related aspects across a number of tourism segments under the slogan ‘Germany, simply inspiring’. Those include Embrace German Nature - highlighting natural landscapes and activity holidays; Historic Modern Germany - promoting cultural heritage, and 51 UNESCO World Heritage sites with a spotlight on traditions and customs of rural regions. The 30 th edition of Arabian Travel Market 2023 kicked off at the Dubai World Trade Centre, with a spotlight on climate change during the opening session of the four-day event. PM Shehbaz Sharif: UAE-Pakistan fraternal bonds mutually rewarding for economic ties

Dubai News Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan H.E. Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, on Thursday, called on Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the PM House on Thursday, where the former delivered an invitation from the UAE leadership to the Prime Minister, inviting him to attend COP28, scheduled to be held in Dubai from 30 November to 12 December 2023. The Prime Minister thanked the UAE leadership for the invitation and appreciated their support in relief efforts following the devastating floods in Pakistan last year. He also commended the UAE's role in combating climate change and expressed hope that their stewardship of COP28 would result in meaningful outcomes for countries like Pakistan, which are most vulnerable to climate change.
